About the

Perinatal & Child Health Research Annual Meetings

The realm of perinatal child health research is undergoing a rapid transformation. To enhance the well-being of our children and families, it is imperative to foster collaborative research endeavors, facilitate data sharing, provide training, and encourage networking among researchers and institutions. Consequently, nine networks have united their annual meetings to facilitate connections and eliminate obstacles to top-tier health research and training. Our objective is to unite the Canadian perinatal and child health research community in a singular location—a historic first—where innovative ideas can flourish and a collaborative environment can be established.

Partnering Networks:
Meeting Mission:
  • Gather the Canadian perinatal child health research community, across all CIHR pillars, to improve the health of children, mothers and families.
Meeting Objectives:
  • Share research, and generate new ideas and collaborations
  • Prepare students for academic, non-profit and private sector careers
  • Network with mentors, peers, patients, families, and private sector companies
  • Promote health, well-being and equity
  • Provide training in critical areas, that are lacking in traditional programs

Join this multi-disciplinary community in person for programming and networking that will include renowned keynote speakers, oral and poster sessions, workshops and early career researcher (ECR) lectures. This is a great opportunity to submit abstracts, gain valuable experience and network with fellow perinatal child health researchers.

Land Acknowledgment:

We would like to acknowledge this meeting will be held on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh.
